I am...

Hyun Suk Noh

That's my official name. However, you may encounter people addressing me as tZesti (pronounced as 'chesti') or Pinagalli. They are both names I have made years ago, as a unique identity to be used online. I do acknowledge both names. There are some rarely used names, but not all of those are even accounted for. Therefore, I do not consider those names mine, with a few exceptions in certain contexts.

As for the meanings of the terms tZesti and Pinagalli, I do not have a clear answer. As much as it may sound absurd, they are formed with random collection of alphabets combined in certain ways. I have attempted to find existing words of various languages to subterms of Pinagalli, without much success. My advise would be to simply consider them the words that uniquely identify this person named Hyun Suk Noh (which is myself, of course.) As far as I know, there is no one using these words to identify themselves.

a Christian

I should be more careful on this. That means I will not write this in near future. But I am an Christian, and I pride myself being one. I go to Youngkwang Korean Presbyterian Church in State College, PA, USA. I administer its Website, sing in choir, take pictures, and attend Sunday services.

I am a citizen of Republic of Korea, often better known as South Korea. The city I consider as a hometown is Daegu. This is a medium-sized city of 2.5 million located in Southeastern inland portion of Korea. I was born there on December 20, 1981, and have lived there until July of 1995.

The Philippines is the country I have lived since for the next five years. I have lived in various places in Metro Manila area mostly in Ayala Alabang and Makati. I still visit there as both of my parents are still residing in the Philippines.

I have since lived in a small town named State College, which is located roughly at the center of Pennsylvania, United States. It is small, as its entire economy revolves around the Pennsylvania State University with no other significant institution. However, its cozy size does make it a nice little place to live in. Its nickname 'Happy Valley' depicts this character very well.

I study termination of functional programming languages. Ironically, my research never seems to terminate.

I pretend to be one. I do enjoy taking pictures, just not good enough to be doing this for living. Come to think of it, doing photography for living may not be as fun as doing it as a hobby.

I built this lame Website. Doesn't that tell you enough? Well, I do enjoy working on Websites as long as I'm not pressured to do so. And I actually like my current Website, even if it is forever under construction. I call it lame, just for the sake of humbleness.

This Website

WordPress, Gallery, my own PHP scripts, and various static pages embedded in PHP wrapper is used to power this Website. You don't need more detail. Be happy with this.

Strange behavior may be observed on some of those non standard-conforming Web browsers. Microsoft Internet Explorer is notorious for this, in particular. I have used one non-standard feature that is only supported in Mozilla Firefox, which is a rounded corners in gallery thumbnail images. However, they all look fine on other Web browsers, except for being a little too boxy to depict mounted slide films.
